More Revealer-related radio: Revealer books editor Scott M. Korb talks about religious violence with NPR’s Scott Simon; Revealer contributor Laurel Snyder does a half hour on Atlanta NPR’s “Between the Lines,” discussing her terrific new anthology, Half/Life: Jew-Ish Tales from Interfaith Homes (in which Revealer editor Jeff Sharlet reveals his true yid-and-a-half-divided-by-three-quarters religious identity); and Laurel writes in yesterday’s Chicago Sun-Times on this year’s collision of Easter and Passover: “I’m reminded of myself, 7 years old, sorting my Easter candy into two piles on my quilted bedspread. One pile for the things I could eat right away — pectin jelly eggs, and a second pile for the things that had to wait — robin’s eggs. Because they weren’t kosher for Passover…” Last but not least is last Thursday’s episode of Christopher Lydon’s “Open Source,” a program to which The Revealer occasionally contribute guest ideas, featured Garry Wills talking about his new book, What Jesus Meant, with Christianity historian Harvey Cox and the New Pantagruel’s Caleb Stegall. There’s also a good discussion of the program on the show’s blog.
