Out magazine didn’t post their feature on queer evangelicals in last month’s (February) issue, but it’s worth finding the hard copy if you can. The subjects of this story aren’t simply gay men who happen to be Christian, a rather ordinary combination that tends to titillate bored religion reporters, but theologically conservative evangelical Christians determined to make over their homosexuality in the image of their faith. What would have been a story of eye-rolling and confusion in most straight dailies becomes a surprisingly serious exploration in this lifestyle glossy.
