At issue is the nature of this year’s National Day of Prayer, to be held on May 6. MRFF charges that the event is looking more and more like a National Day of Prayer Task Force event than a constitutional, non-sectarian public event. The Task Force, headed by none other than James Dobson‘s wife, Shirley, is a private organization with a rather limited definition of acceptable beliefs. Unless Weinstein and MRFF — and those who kind of think religious liberty is a good thing — have their say.
