Today Kathryn Joyce was on NPR’s “Fresh Air” talking about her new book, The Child Catchers: Rescue, Trafficking and the New Gospel of Adoption, on international adoption.  Kathryn was one of The Revealer’s founding editors.  We’re all furiously reading her devastating book.  Read her recent article at Mother Jones for a taste.

Kathryn was also on our friend (and TR contributor) Kiera Feldman’s radio show, “Beyond the Pale” at WBAI.

Scott Korb, our first books editor, has a new book out, Light Without Fire: The Making of America’s First Muslim College.  Read an excerpt from it here.

Pew has a new interactive that shows which states in the US have enacted legislation “resitricting use of foreign or religious laws.

Kazakhstan’s got a new religion law that’s meant to prevent foreign countries from  “promot[ing] their own interests” in the country.

Mississippi’s last abortion clinic will not be closed.  The new ban on abortion after 12 weeks in Arkansas is being legally challenged.

I promise that as Secretary-General of the United Nations, I will denounce attacks against you, and I will keep pressing leaders for progress.”

Catholic leaders in Toronto and New York want nothing to do with bronze “homeless Jesus.”

No, 41% of rape allegations are not false.  The Southern Poverty Law Center has a new report that finds the “Men’s Rights Movement” is spreading false claims about women.

Geoffrey Pollick has pointed us to the Tamiment Library’s stunning digital collection of The Masses covers.  Published from 1911 until 1917, The Masses was a radical magazine at one point edited by Max Eastman and ultimately shut down for sedition.
