From the same folks who brought you Proposition 8, a new organization dedicated to filling the benches with litmus-tested conservative judges:  Better Courts Now.  The San Diego-based group, writes Dan Aiello at California Progress Report, is working to challenge moderate governor-appointed judges in California — and the nation — who come up for re-election.  Founder of BCN, Pastor Don Hamer, who died of a cardiac arrest last month, said of the Proposition 8 case which was decided by four California Supreme Court judges and resulted in a state ballot initiative, “[It] threw our state into chaos and cost conservatives like you and me $40 million dollars.” More here and here.
