A year ago, I published a profile of Brownback in Rolling Stone in which I noted that Robertson, when asked for early favorites for ’08, had spoken first of the “outstanding senator from Kansas.” Now, a year later, Robertson wants a correction. What — Brownback’s not outstanding? No, Robertson feels that I implied that he’d endorsed Brownback. Sorry about that, Pat. But what took you so long to complain?
