Christians protested outside a county courthouse in Houston after a Bible was removed from a monument owned by the Star of Hope mission but located next to the court’s entrance. Demonstrators were upset that the mission removed the Bible so soon after a court ruled that the presence of the Bible indicated an unconstitutional preference for Christianity. “‘We had people prepared to circle around it,'” said the Rev. Aubrey Vaughan, one of the protest organizers.
