A Christian think tank in Bangor, Maine is mobilizing to oppose a November ballot question that could reverse the state’s new gay non-discrimination law, which protects gays’ rights to equal opportunity in employment, housing, education and public accommodations, with the release of a position paper urging Christian voters to “Just Say No” to the reversal — or, conversely, challenging any voters without sin to cast the first “Yes” vote. The paper puts the Christian Policy Institute in direct conflict with the conservative Christian association which had prompted the repeal measure in the first place.
